​​​​​​​Table Tennis

Table Tennis is run in Terms 2 and 3 at Barber Hall, Central Energy Trust Arena, Waldegrave Street. The secondary school competition is 6 - 8pm and teams need to be at the table no later than 6.10pm.

Bats are available to use for students who don't have their own. Students should also wear suitable non marking shoes. School shoes must not be worn. There is no drinking fountain in the venue so it is recommended everyone has a drink bottle. There is access to a kitchen to fill water bottles.

The first week will be grading matches. Bats are available for students who do not have their own.

2025 Season: Term 2 & 3

Games: Games are played on Thursday evenings - 6-8 

Teams of 3. If you have a team please let Miss Woods know in the Sports Office or email t.woods@pnghs.school.nz

All teams will play on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd May, 12th & 26th June in the Barber Hall. The 7th playing week will be split across the 29th May, 5th June & 19th June for all teams at the two sub venues.

Term 3 dates will be confirmed in Term 2.

Manawatu Secondary School Table Tennis Individual Tournament: Wednesday 18th June 2025.
Entries open beginning of Term 2.

Uniform: All students are required to wear the PNGHS white polo top or singlet and PNGHS black shorts. Students should also wear non-marking shoes, school shoes are not permitted.

Draws: Draws will be available weekly in the New Gym foyer and through the Draws tab above.

Additional information: Students will need to make their own way to the CET Arena. PNGHS will not be supplying students with transport.


PAY BEFORE YOU PLAY

Payment is required on completion of the registration form in order for students to be registered and be put into teams. 

Payment Options: Pay at the completion of this form with credit card or through POLI. 

- Payment can be made at the accounts office with cash or eftpos. A receipt MUST be given or sent to Miss Woods in the Sports Department in order to finalise registration. t.woods@pnghs.school.nz 

- Payment can be made through bank transfer. A receipt MUST be given or sent to Miss Woods in the Sports Department in order to finalise registration.

Withdrawing from sport 

Unless there is an extreme cicumstances which have been discussed with the Sports Department, there will be no refunding of fees if withdrawing from a sports team/event. 

  • Parent and Student agree to abide by PNGHS Code of Conduct and rules/regulations of sport
  • Parent and Student agree to respect trial results & team selections for their chosen sport
  • Right to participate may be withdrawn if a student or parent fails to adhere to their commitments
  • Uniform to be worn correctly and returned to the school at the end of the season or replacement charges will apply
  • Parent agrees to keep the student's health profile information up to date on the school records
  • Parents agree to pay for all sports fees before first training/game day. Failure to do this will result in your student not being able to play.
