Spanish Teacher (with supporting subjects)

Fixed-term, Term 3 (20 July 2026) to end of 2026 academic year

We are seeking a versatile and collegial Spanish teacher to join our supportive school community. This position arises due to a mid-year departure and covers Spanish from Year 9 to Year 11.

While the core of the role is Spanish (approx. 3 classes), it could be a full time position for a candidate who can teach in other curriculum areas. Please clearly state your supporting subjects in your application; we are particularly interested in candidates with strengths in ESOL and/or English, though all subject combinations will be considered.

This position is fixed-term while the Board conducts a deeper recruitment phase and a review of the International Languages and ESOL curriculum structure. This review will determine the future configuration of these learning areas for 2027 and beyond.

Applicants will be:

  • Fluent in Spanish with the ability to teach in the NZ context.
  • NZ registered (or able to be registered by start date).
  • A team player who can work collaboratively during a period of transition.
  • Committed to the pastoral care and success of young people.
