Selyndah Tonistino won the National Samoan Speech Competition Level 2 recently held in Auckland
She has been studying her heritage language of Samoan, through Te Kura Correspondence and she recently participated in the National Samoan Language Competition for Level 2 and she won! That is an amazing achievement considering she was competing against the whole country in this category.
The theme of her speech was "Tautua ma le alofa, mo le lumana'i manuia," which translates to "Serve in and with love, for a better future."
In her speech, she had 3 main words to talk about which were Tautua (serve), Alofa (love), and Manuia (blessing).
