There are no pre-requisites to study Year 11 Accounting.
We offer 7 internal credits and 17 external credits.
A study of Year 11 Accounting at Palmerston North Girls’ High School aims to:
- Promote knowledge and understanding of accounting as a financial language for trading and service businesses.
- Provide students with knowledge of the principles, processes and systems of accounting.
- Enable students to apply financial knowledge and skills to practical solutions.<

- The skills developed in Year 11 Accounting provide students with a sound foundation in the basics of financial accounting
- These skills gained can assist in many areas of life including personal money management, understanding of financial documents and finances for small businesses, clubs and societies.
- Students become familiar with the layout of accounting reports and gain knowledge of interpretation of this material.
