Year 11 Economics
The Year 11 Economics course is based on LEVEL TWO of the National Syllabus for Form 3 to 7 Economics, and LEVEL ONE NCEA Achievement Standards.
The Course aims to develop an understanding of why and how people as individuals and groups choose to satisfy their wants by allocating and managing scarce resources in the context of the New Zealand economy. This will help students to be aware of the changing nature of the economic environment and to take an effective part in economic activity and to contribute to economic well-being.
Students will be expected to develop the following skills:  Thinking;  Investigative;  Statistical;  Decision Making.

We offer 24 credits, 5 of which are attached to two Internal Assessments.
