Year 10 Economics is an option subject. There are no pre-requisites for taking this subject.
A study of Year 10 Economics in at Palmerston North Girls’ High School aims to:
- develop an understanding of how consumers and producers behave, and how they interact with each other
- enable students to be aware of particular aspects of the New Zealand Economy eg Sharemarket, flatting, tourism, running a small business
- enable students to be more economically literate regarding issues affecting the New Zealand economy.
