Year 9 Business Technology |

This course is based on a Financial Literacy programme which culminates in a House purchase and renovation exercise, and a Business Planning programme which culminates in groups working together to develop a unique protype for a special occasion.

Technological knowledge
- Investigate and explain the use and operation of a range of technologies in everyday use such as in understanding technological language, communications in a team, using Word and Excel
- Identify strategies used to communicate and promote a technological idea or development such as Business plans, prospectus, advertising,
Technological practice
- Undertake planning which includes reviewing of progress to determine effectiveness of past actions and resourcing, exploring implications for future reactions and accessing resources to ensure the development of a technological outcome to completion such as development of a protype through research and investigation, then developing a final solution and evaluation
Nature of technology
Explore and discuss the impacts over time on the local and wider environments and society of some specific technology as in the protype they have developed |
