The Commerce Department programmes provide students with a broad range of skills relating to the business sector.
Students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and abilities in economics, accounting and business studies, all of which enable them to have a leading advantage in many areas of business. Economics is offered from Year 10 to 13, Business Studies in Year 9, and then Year 12 and 13, and Accounting is offered from Year 11 to 13. Economics and Business can be chosen at any stage in the senior school, which makes them an inviting choice for many Year 12 and 13 students.
The Commerce Department focuses on supporting all students achieve to the best of their ability. The Commerce Committee, run by the Commerce Prefect provides assistance in commerce subjects and individual tuition both inside and outside the classroom. This service has proven to be successful in building peer-tutor relationship with one tutor and student confidence in asking for help when needed. |
