| Sports exchanges are an exciting and enjoyable part of the calendar for our sports students. |
| The school's summer sports exchange is an overnight fixture against New Plymouth Girls' High school. |
During the winter months our sports students compete in three annual fixtures against Napier Girls' High School, New Plymouth Girls' High School and Wellington Girls' College, with the New Plymouth exchange being an overnight experience. |
All these events are excellent preparation for our teams and provide outstanding competition for all involved. |

New Plymouth Winter Sports Exchange |

On 18th August 2010, PNGHS welcomed students from New Plymouth Girls' High School for the annual Winter Sports Exchange. With competition to take place on Thursday 19th, the New Plymouth students were hosted overnight in the homes of the competing PNGHS pupils. After a win in the first event of the day, Badminton and a narrow loss in Cross Country hopes were high for PNGHS to retain the competition shield. After all eight sports teams gave it their all it was New Plymouth who emerged victorious.
